The Darien Foundation Mission

The Darien Foundation provides grants for technology and capital initiatives which create opportunity for our youth, support our town’s safety and security, and enhance the overall quality of life in Darien.

 
The three pillars of our funding are:
 
YOUTH
We fund projects that promote and enhance opportunities for all of Darien’s youth.

 
SAFETY AND SECURITY
We fund innovative technology for the Darien Police, EMS Post 53, and Darien’s Fire Departments.
 

QUALITY OF LIFE
Our grants have closed funding gaps for important projects at local community organizations.

The Darien Foundation an independent community-based, non-profit organization that awards grants for special projects that are beyond the funding capabilities of these groups and which will positively impact the Darien community.
 

Our volunteer Board of Directors reflects the many constituencies of Darien, thoroughly evaluates grant requests and assists grant recipients in achieving their goals. As a 501(c)(3), The Darien Foundation provides residents and corporate donors a centralized, convenient and highly effective channel to Build a Better Darien. Together.
