Corbin Cares Partnership

In March, the Darien Foundation partnered with Corbin Cares to provide meals in Darien to seniors and to families affected by these difficult times.

Corbin Cares provides healthy, to-go lunches from the Mather Senior Center M-F and also a robust weekly takeout dinner to families in need (which include about 125 children). The Darien Foundation funds these meals in Darien, which are prepared by seven local restaurants: Baldanza Bistro, Bodega Taco Bar, Four Forks Catering, The Granola Bar, Jake’s Place, Ten Twenty Post, and UCBC.

Since March 30th, The Darien Foundation has funded $75,000 to provide 4,640 meals in Darien.

We recently extended the Corbin Cares initiative in Darien to run through July 3.

About Corbin Cares:

Corbin Cares works with The Darien Foundation, The Community Fund of Darien, The Darien Lions Club, Food Rescue US, and several local restaurants to get healthy, ready-to-eat meals delivered to those in our community who are food insecure and to our hospital & healthcare workers during this battle with Covid-19. Corbin Cares was initiated by Baywater Properties and PG Properties in connection with their redevelopment of a portion of downtown Darien, which they have branded The Corbin District.
